Director of Bands
Rick Ardovino
Eric Ardovino is the Director of Bands at Northridge High School. He holds a Traditional Masters of Music Education degree and a Bachelor of Music Education degree with class A teacher certification from the University of Montevallo. Before Northridge, Rick Ardovino was the Director of Bands at Brookwood High School in Brookwood, Alabama, where his ensembles received superior ratings at MPA and competitions and won best in class marching awards.
As a saxophonist, he regularly performs with Super Jazz in Hoover, Alabama as well as the Colonial Consort where he plays medieval and renaissance instruments. He has also been invited to conduct the Single reed symposium at the University of Montevallo and has been a clinician for Montevallo’s Honor Band as well as the summer music camp jazz and concert ensembles. He is also a member of the North American Saxophone Alliance, Alabama Bandmasters Association, Alabama Music Educators Association, and The National Association for Music Education.

Color Guard Instructor
Erica Morgan
Graduate of The University of West Alabama, holds a Bachelors and Master's Degree in Collaborative Special Education. Mrs. Morgan was a collaborative teacher at NHS from 2016-2021 then transferred to Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy where she remains in the collaborative setting. Mrs. Morgan began working with Northridge High School band in 2016 as a volunteer color guard coach. In 2017, she became part of the NHS Band Staff as Head Color Guard Coach then in 2018, became the official auxiliary sponsor. Mrs. Morgan has a total of almost 10 years of experience within the performing visual arts.
